It's Friday again; the final Friday of the first month of 2012; the year is literally disappearing before our eyes! And for those in the northern half of the North Island, it will doubtless be a well-received long weekend, being Auckland Anniversary Day on Monday.

I imagine most of us, myself included, had a cynical mocking snigger at the over-the-top scenes of indescribable sadness shown in North Korea following the death of Kim Jong-il.
But has anyone noticed the similarity of those scenes, to the ones shown by some people lucky enough to get a few days off work to travel to France to get some 200 year old heads?

Not this year Nellie; work is full-on at the moment (we'll be there for most of tomorrow), and the lack of any real headline act hasn't helped. Next year, maybe; especially if they bring Kutless back!
