Hurricane warning

21 - 8 down after 39 minutes, and this Hurricanes fan's worst fears were coming true.

What a difference 41 minutes makes. A great try to Hosea Gear on the stroke of half-time gave hope; 21 -13 at halftime. Then a different Hurricanes team emerged for the second half. The 'Canes played their best 40 minutes of football of the season to run in four unanswered tries. Best of all, all the Hurricanes tries tonight came from the back three, several from long range.

The Hurricanes are now unbeaten in five games, and go to Sydney next week with a simple mission; to win. It's the only way they can make the playoffs. They're certainly the form New Zealand team now.

And congratulations to Rodney So'oialo. The Hurricanes vowed to make his 100th Super Rugby match an occasion to remember, and they delivered. Bring on the 'Tahs!
