It looks like Messem has passed Lauaki at No8. At least he has a good work rate but neither he nor So'oialo measure up to Spies and we need to be looking at him as the World Cup benchmark.
Weepu as back up at 10 is iffy for mine but I would like to see Toeava and Kahui start together in the midfield.
Tialata has to be lucky - why not McIntosh looking ahead to 2011.
A good move to make Muliaina captain and I think Read will need to play to provide the necessary leadership in the forwards when McCaw is out.
