Good luck to the White Ferns

Well, the Black Caps may have been spanked yesterday, but there's still cricket to watch. The final of the ICC Women's World Cup has just begun, with the White Ferns playing the English.

Although they lost to England during the Super Six series, New Zealand is the top qualifier for the final on nett run rate, ahead of England whose last match was a loss to Australia.

Whilst there's not the power hitting of the men's ODI game, the skill levels at this tournament have been excellent, and today's match should be a great contest. The White Ferns have won the toss and are batting - they are 5 without loss after two overs.

I really enjoyed it (apart from Danny Morrison's commentary)

I found it really nostalgic; the beautiful ground, low scores, and spin bowlers giving it serious flight.

Shame we choked...

Quite right LB - just a shame that they saved their worst performance for the money game! Still, they finished two places above the Australians, so all is not lost!
