The Friday Forum - 30/1/2009

Flippin' heck - not only is it Friday already, but it's nearly the end of the first moth of 2009 - and that is just plain scary! Tempus had indeed fugited this month!!

But we digress. It's time for the Keeping Stock Friday Forum! So roll on up, and have your say - you know the drill - you can rant and rave to your heart's content here, and get things off your chest before the weekend etc, etc, etc.

The floor is yours!

Do any of those calling for the government to do something have any ideas about what that something should be?

MMmm, dunno, but governments can do too much as well.

Agreed FFM - you only have to think back to the good old days of Muldoon's interventionist policies

Talking of interventionist policies INV2 don't forget the last 9 years.

Danny Watson has been `dealing to' ACC and the Ministry of Transport and the past Labour Gvt in the lead up to the 1pm news re some outrageous spending. Labour copped it for nicking $40m from some sort of conservation fund (missed the detail) to buy St James Station just before the election.

Despite their huge funds shortfall ACC have apparently been upgrading and refurbishing offices - no expense spared.

Missed the details of the Ministry of Transport but Stephen Joyce got some kudos for pulling the the plug on some of its extravagance.

Well yes, homepaddock, sometimes people do have some idea about what Government should do.
Any suggestions about where somebody should go with those ideas?
Care to put a name to anybody in politics who might be interested in listening?
Anybody in the National Party, perhaps, who might have an ear and a mind?
