I'm sure that Winston Peters's mood won't be helped at all today with the NZ Herald revealing that investigators from the Serious Fraud Office have spoken to Sir Robert Jones over the NZ First donations row. I guess this can only be interpreted as the SFO taking the allegations against Peters seriously, which would be bad news indeed for the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Helen Clark doesn't need Winston Peters any longer, now that the 2008 Budget is set in stone. Is it now time for the PM to stand her Foreign Minister aside until such time as the various investigations he is subject to are concluded?
